skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 3, 2006 12 oz bottle into an English Pint glass. Pours a copper orangish color with a small foamy white orange head. The aroma is very summery with hints of honey, apricots, pineapple, and a tiny, tiny nose of malty hops. The flavor is very light and refreshing with very creamy fruit start that somewhat quickly progresses into a sweet hop note. The body is very smooth and gently carbonated. A nice spice note kicks in towards the finish of the hop note and the taste. The spice lingers for a bit, which is quite nice actually. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and can now see why it’s one of NEB’s favorite summer brew! vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Jul 29, 2006 Pours lightly hazy dark copper with a light tan head. Aroma has a lot of nectarine. Medium body with very soft carbonation. Taste has a fruity creaminess with vague fruit (apricot, nectarine, peach) with a fakeness to it. Finish brings some spice into the mix. An okay beer at best, but not nearly up to the standards the brewery is usually up to. AdamGott (190), Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA Jul 28, 2006 somewhat reminiscent of their winter solstice but the spices have been kicked way back. There is something extra in this beer but I don’t know what it is (piney flavor). Dissapointing and definitely not a $2 beer.
The liner in my cap was bubbled so that may have caused some kind of problem but I could detect no off flavors or aromas. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 25, 2006 Amber colored with a thin white head. Looks like an Oktoberfest. Sweet malts in the aroma with some light apple notes. Boring flavor definitely has some sort of spice working in it. Not really what I’d consider a summer thirst quencher. I find that big hoppy IPAs do a better job of quenching your thirst. I’m glad I only bought a single bottle of this. There is absolutely no reason that they should be charging close to $11 per six pack of this. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jul 11, 2006 Pour is a dark red with a small tan head. Aroma is very hard to detect. Maybe some caramel malts in there? Flavor is also kinda weak. Some caramel flavors but not much else. Noting to look for. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA Jul 5, 2006 Pours copper with a creamy tan head. Malty aroma with caramel malts, currant and wheat. Flavor is very creamy as the name suggests. Strong currant and caramel sensations. Full on the palate for a lighter beer. Damn good summer beer. linc33 (177), Albany, New York, USA Jul 3, 2006 12oz bottle from the brewery. Orange-brown (not copper as advertised.) Creamy, malty flavour, mouthfeel and taste reminiscent of cream soda, minus the sugar. Finish balanced and a pleasant aftertaste. Refreshing and excellent cold. Never had anything like it, but would easily get it again. HopBackDoc (393), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 2, 2006 Bottle. Pours a deep copper color with thin head. Mild aroma of malt and caramel. Nice balanced malty flavor, not any noticeable hop presence. Nice creamy mouthfeel. A good easy drinking beer that looks as good as it tastes.
