Commercial Description:
This copper colored ale is a silky, creamy dream. It’s malty, very mildly hopped, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor. A cool beer for the heat, whatever your latitude!

An amber beer with a thin orange-brown head. The aroma is hoppy with notes of oranges and grapefruit, while the flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as slight notes of hops.

Bottle. Cloudy copper color with 1/4" head that dissipated very quickly. Faint aroma of malts and doughnuts (or coffee cake -- some breakfast pastry). Flavors I picked up: mild citrus, cream soda, and glazed doughnuts. Creamy with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Decent.

Dark copper color with a thin head. Very nice aroma of chocolate and orange, with what I think is cardamom. The taste had the orange, but it turned funky. Not quite sour, not quite bitter, but somewhere on that spectrum of not-so-goodness. Decent malt base.

Virtually no aroma. Cloudy amber. Orange color with a bubble two finger thick head. Cream soda and vanilla dominate the flavor profile with an off putting chemical sweetness int he aftertaste.

Ok, I thought this was a much better beer than rated here, maybe because I had it initially in the dead of summer, but I just picked up the last remaining bit at the store. Pours out copper/amber, nice caramel and cream aroma, refreshing and smooth with a cream soda after taste.

Copper amber ruby body with light ringing white head. Pastrami caramel aroma. Strong vanilla flavor. Smooth drinkable palate. Lasting vanilla finish.

I was expecting something sweet and spicy, what I got was pretty bad though. Tasted like damp wood smells. Musty, old, sickly sweet. My first disapointment from Anderson. It did smell good though.

Appears a deep red amber with a 1 finger ivory head that stays for a minute before fizzing out. Virtually no lacing is left behind. Smell is of sweet caramel malt with a creamy vanilla scent coming from the glass. Taste is of caramel malt, cream, and vanilla. Mouthfeel is slightly chewy, medium bodied, smooth, along with low levels of carbonation. It’s also slightly thin. Drinkability is ok. a little too much though for a Summer brew. Seems like this is the Winter Solstice that’s been watered down considerably.
