COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This copper colored ale is a silky, creamy dream. It’s malty, very mildly hopped, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor. A cool beer for the heat, whatever your latitude!

THOUGHTS: Rated this thinking it was the wheat beer, but was pretty sure about halfway through that there wasn’t going to be any wheat showing up at the party. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Easy to drink and fairly refreshing, but it didn’t seem very wheaty (OBVIOUSLY). Also just enough hops to keep you from thinking you’re drinking sugar water, but no real hop presence. A little annoying that they have two Summer Solstice beers listed with neither being retired and the yellow can doesn’t have a style of ABV on it. TECHNICAL: Can. Poured a clear, medium amber with a huge, foamy, off-white head that kept a decent sheet and left barely fair lacing. The aroma had moderate cereal and caramel malts; honey; hints of tea and cola; and ever so slight orange extract. The initial flavor was lightly sweet, slightly sour and lightly acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, light to moderately sour and moderately acidic with an average duration. There was caramel malts, some spicy yeast cereal, honey, a little orange and more yeast toward the end. The medium body was a little watery and lightly fizzy with a lightly astringent finish.

Bottle. Malty almost creamy aroma... Some caramel. Deep amber color, clear, white head that sticks around for a while.smooth palate, creamy. Nice tasting, but very different than expected.

Appearance is a hazy amber. Aroma is tart malts. Taste is also tart almost like a sugary candy. Overall very interesting, but not the ideal summer beer.

12oz can. I had no idea going in what kind of beer this was, but I assumed it was a cream ale judging by "cervesa crema". Hazy orange color, minimal head, mild lacing. What is this aroma? Raisin? ... Totally raisin. Dead on raisin. Sounds weird, but I actually like it. Some sweet taste. Very interesting.

On draft at Coffee District. Color and appearance I didn’t pay too much attention to but all I can remember was that it was super sweet. Somewhat fruity but just too sweet to enjoy a whole glass.

Deep amber pour. Lots of vanilla and a bit of soft malt character as well. Fairly sweet up front, but there is a touch of decent dryness though on the finish as well. Okay - but not great. Soda-ish.

Pours a medium clear brown. Thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is toast and raisins. Flavor, I swear, is like drinking liquid Raisin Bran. The malt has that biscuity flavor of bran flakes why there is also a hint of raisin sweetness. If that’s your thing, this is a great beer. Personally, I’m not a big fan of Raisin Bran in my cereal bowl, let alone my beers. The beer is not bad, don’t get me wrong. It’s just not my thing. (FWIW, all the women I know who have tried this have really liked it. So if your wife/girlfriend/femal acquaintance is looking for a beer she might enjoy, this might be worth giving a shot.)

a nice creamy beer, with a smooth finish. This one came in a summer case. Pretty good

12oz can. Light color with very little aroma. The flavor contains light citrus notes and not much else. Pretty disappointing.
