COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This copper colored ale is a silky, creamy dream. Itís malty, very mildly hopped, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor. A cool beer for the heat, whatever your latitude!

12 oz bottle. This beer is a lighter version of AVís Winter Solstice, a beer I am a huge fan of. If you like that one, odds are you will enjoy this one as well. This beer while called a cream ale, isnít a true American cream ale, which is actually brewed with a lager yeast, and with the addition of corn grits. Like with the Winter Solstice, I detect vanilla in this beer, and for me that is a very good thing. Summer Solstice pours to a beautiful, bright, copper color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is inviting with aromas of sweet malt, pale malt, and vanilla. The palate is firm with a good creamy mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet malt, pale malt, treacle, and flavors of vanilla coat the tongue. This beer finishes with more malty and treacle/light toffee flavor up front, then ends with just enough hop bitterness to take the cloying edge off, and traces of vanilla flavor that lingers. I found this to be a delicious beer, and I think it would make a nice beer to enjoy after work, or a nice one to pair with desert. That being said, I like the Winter Solstice much better, and as a summer refresher, this beer is a bit too sweet. Nice drinkable beer, but not one I would want to drink all day.

Proof that a summer solstice doesn’t have to be a wit or a citrusy wheat clone. Light vanilla- malt aroma. Stick to the glass light tan head. Deep amber hue with an initial caramel- maple on toast taste. Subtle hop presence at best. Very drinkably creamy thoughout. Surprised me. By bottle at Lunar Brewing.

This is a good session beer for the summer time, nice copper color great head. It has a good biscuty aroma lots of vanilla. The flavor was very cream soda like with hints of toasty bread, good body for a summer beer. Nice and drinkable. If you aresick of wit beers and flavored hefes for summer beers try this one.

Pours copper with an off-white head. Taste is slightly malty and very creamy, almost like youíre drinking a creamsicle (however that would work). One of my favorite beers, I wish it was year round so I could drink more of it.

Pours light amber, small white head, no lacing. Aroma is sweet, cream-soda like. The taste is sweet at first, then moves through a variety of flavors, from cola to citrus to a buttery creaminess to sarsparilla. I really enjoyed this, as I do every year.

Dry fresh oaky aroma, some hazelnut. Dark caramel, small white head. Fresh milk caramel, balanced with a bit of lavender, finishes dry, ready for the next sip. I donít get the low scores for this great summer beer!

A: Pours a light creamy-tan with a nice white head. S: Nice bready malt. Nothing too much beyond that, but well done. T: Pretty good. Bready malt and a bit of creamy fruit sweetness. M: Nice and creamy. Medium bodied with good carbonation. D: Very drinkable and refreshing. Not nearly as good as Winter Solstice, but not a bad lawnmower beer either.
