COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale is not just your average summer seasonal. This unique copper colored ale is smooth, malty, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor.

Despite it’s darker body, this is a light and easy drinker for the summer months. Very lightly hopped, with some caramel/toffee sweetness. A mixture of an amber, a brown ale and some German dunkel. Interesting combo.

Great summer beer, can drink one right after the other. Not too strong in flavor but texture is nice and smooth. Cream soda for adults.

Aroma is caramel and malts. Pours amber read. Very little lacing, small white head. Taste is caramel and a bit spicy. Very thin, but not dry. Ok at best. Nice on a hot day.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 12 oz. canAppearance: two fingers white head, dissipates quickly, yellow copper color, cloudy, ok lace. Aroma: hay, nuts, toast, caramel, floral, doughy yeast, honey. Palate: light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, short sweet finish. Taste: sweet honey. Overall, very different and memorable; could drink a six pack.

Bottle, pours a bright golden, aroma was light a bit of hop, a clean crisp taste, not too much, but good for what you would expect and that was this beer is. So it is worth a try.

355ml bottle tasted at a private food and wine dinner session in Causeway Bay.

Clear honey amber colourl; One finger head and white foam which lasts for one minue; Small sticky lacing with active soft carbonation; Good aroma of ale malt, with strong caramel, figs, dark fruits, floral, molasses, light citrus and very light grass; Taste of light ale malt, with caramel, toffee, light dark fruits, light spices, very light lemon, and grass; Mid to light body, quite creamy and slick palate; Mouth feel is pretty smooth, ale base is moderately solid, dominated by sweet caramel and toffee plus some fleshes of prunes and dark fruits; Hoppiness is fruity and slight grass nose, light lemon / grass taste, and fairly low bitterness for a clean undemanding finish; Slightly dry after taste; very easy and creamy to mouth.

Comments: A pretty decent and solid Cream Ale - nice body and just creamy enough, good dark fruit and spicy nose, quite nice caramel and touch of sweetness - it could have been heavy but turns out to be smooth, undemanding and easy going. A good one for Summer.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2014 Tap: Burnt, traffic-light amber with a small, wispy white head that remains as a thin skin on top of the beer; no lacing. First sniff gives some surprisingly heavy fruit notes... wild berry & white grape almost. Some graininess. I couldn’t exactly pinpoint the fruit. Taste was the same way, with that ambiguous fruity note, backed up by grain and some toasted malt. I finally was able to put my finger on it - figs. This beer has a huge fig flavor for some reason. Strange, for just a cream ale. Sharp carbonation. Not sure why there’s such an big "fig" presence in the aroma/flavor (and not much else). Hopefully I wasn’t handed the wrong beer. Not bad, just very one-track minded.

12oz. bottle pours a slightly hazy copper color with a medium sized white head that leaves spotty lacing. Smells of caramel, dough and spices. Tastes sort of like cream soda and baked beans mixed. Mouthfeel is light but creamy and silky with good carbonation. Strange beer overall definetily unique and different but not in a very good way in my opinion. Tastes odd but refreshing after a warm summer day.

Can. Slightly murky copper pour with a smaller head. Nose is all graham cracker. Smooth palate with just a hint of bitter. Easy drinking. Not bad.
