Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale is not just your average summer seasonal. This unique copper colored ale is smooth, malty, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor.

On tap at a local wine bar, pours a dark copper/brown...extremely smooth and well balanced. I have yet to have an AV brew that doesn’t impress. Well done.

Brownish, clear, with yellow creamy head that lasts somewhat. Malty aroma with a hint of orange. Malt, vanilla, caramel with strong caramel bitterness in the aftertaste.

Amber color, good carbonation. The nose was a sweet grassy smell. The taste seemed to be really sweet for a summer beer, too much of a caramel taste for me. A light mouth feel which I expect from a summer beer. Overall, not a beer I care to revisit, too sweet.

Pours deep and dark honey amber with a yellowish, somewhat creamy head that fades pretty quickly to a coating. Aroma is caramel malt, grass, some florals. Taste is more caramel malt and strong vanilla with a touch of honey. Creamy and carbonated on the palate and earthy sweet overall. Very drinkable and not what I expected. Above average.

This beer is very creamy and very refreshing. It is an excellent beer in the summer or any hot day. It has a relatively sweet taste, but is fairly light and not overwhelming. I always recommend it to friends and family that do not have too complex a knowledge or taste for beer. I have found it to be a favorite of beginning craft beer drinkers and veterans alike.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours copper with off white head. Taste citrus, Carmel, sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really quite bad. Way too much caramel, and some misplaced vanilla. Pours copper without much head or lacing. Too sweet. Can.

Transfer from BA review on 8-30-12 - Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served an amber colored brew with a tiny white head. The head faded fast to give very little lacing. Smell – The smell was a nice blend of sweet caramel and vanilla as well as some bready and citrus notes. Taste – The taste began with a bready flavor that was accompanied by the caramel sweetness detected in the nose. These two flavors remain a base for the beer, for which other flavors will come and go upon. Toward the middle flavors of a more cream and vanilla flavor come to the tongue. These don’t last long and are quickly subdued by some citrus flavors. The citrus is sweeter at first, but bitters more toward the end and gives a light bite to the aftertaste of the beer. Mouthfeel – The body f the beer was on the below average to average side in terms of its creamy and thickness with the carbonation being quite average. A boost in the body thickness may have done well for the cream and bready flavors, but the feel is by no means bad. Overall – Easy drinking with some nice flavors. One to give a go if you have a chance.

This one pours a bright almost wine like color. Very refreshing yet not much flavor. Almost watery like. Still not bad. A little quencher that is nice.

Smooth summer ale. Lots of malt for a summer seasonal. Light and spicy for a different take on warm weather drinking. Great session ale.

Very interesting creamy tart flavors, marshmallow. gentle sweet finish. Kind of an amber/wheat hybrid, quite original and captivating taste.
