The refreshing tartness in this divine, bright golden-colored ale gives way to earthy undertones and hints of citrus followed by a slight sea salt-like dryness and tangy, effervescent finish.

Refreshing tart, very sessionable sour beer in a can! Lacto aroma, slight grainy. Clean sour that is a bit one dimensional. Not much coriander and only the slightest bit of salt on the end. Probably wouldn’t notice it if it didn’t call it out on the label... wait, wait, wait, oh yeah I guess it is there. Not the best Gose that I have tried but very satisfied to have in a can.

07.10.2015, kutu, İstanbul. Görüntü: hızlı sönen beyaz köpüğe sahip. Renk portakal-sarı arası, saydam, ince küçük kapacıkların yüzeye hızlı çıkışı net olarak izleniyor. Koku: ekşi, mayalı, yaş üzüm, Islak odun, limoni Tadım: damakta ilk anda vurucu bir ekşilik, ardından damağı kurutan hafif tuzlu, limoni tınıları bitirişte yaş üzüm, maya. Gövde az-orta, damak kalıcılığı orta.

Can shared with Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Clear pale golden color, medium sized quickly diminishing white to off-white head. Aroma is slightly grainy, hayish. Taste lightly sourish, salty, a hint of tangerine. Not bad actually.

A steady pour from the can into my glass produces a two-finger thick, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is a light gold color that shows a brilliantly clear, pale golden hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of earthy coriander, ripe lactic acidity, and dried straw, and cracker like pale grain.

The beer has a definite saltiness to it, and this melds well with the lactic acidity and the carbonic acid. The carbonation is fizzy and foamy as it hits my tongue. The finish has an earthy coriander flavor to it, a lingering lactic acidity that is very clean, and a touch of pale grain character. The beer is quite light bodied, and b/c of this, quite refreshing and quaffable. This beer is actually quite sour compared to many a Gose out there.

Overall this is very clean, it is very refreshing, but a bit too bland, despite the salt, coriander, and lactic acidity. The yeast and bacterial character is almost nonexistent (minus the acidity of course). Still this is more than serviceable and enjoyable enough.

Tape from Stone St. Brewery (not from that company but rather the restaurant) for 9 bucks I believe. Golden with an off white head. Nose is sour, a lot of lemon and lemon rind with some hints of barnyard and some musk. Taste is similar. with a bit of spice and some saltiness. Nice carbonation in the end and quite refreshing. The palate makes the beer a whole lot more drinkable than it would be otherwise. If the ending was bad, this would probably be around a 2.9 or so. Quite sour and salty but quite good. I can see why this beer type isn’t super popular but I liked it.

Interesting aroma, a mix of a Belgian Wit and a Lambic, sour fruit with hints of spice. Clear hay colored beer with a foamy, fizzy white head. Tart and citrusy, reminds me of a small rolled candy I had as child, crisp, dry finish.
