COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

On tap at ít Klooster, Delft. Black with a beige head. Sweet aroma of bourbon, coffee, roasted malts. Taste is sweet, bourbon, alcohol, chocolate, more roasted towards the end, malts, coffee. Light aftertaste of bourbon and chocolate. Not bad, bit thin in both aroma and taste.

Sightly heavy flavor to begin with. Smooth chocolate flavor finish. Highly recommended to all beer lovers.

Bottle, been aging in a bottle for a year since buying. Aroma mostly od bourbon, with some coffee underneath. Looks nice, brown head, black color with brown reflections. The taste is where itís at-mostly bourbon notes (something like grapes), which were pretty strong in the aftertaste but did not cover the rest, some vanilla, no taste of alcohol at all. Under the barrel flavors was some chocolate flavor. Donít know about fresh, but after aging it was a great one.

Bottle. Nose of caramel, butter, chocolate. Sweet and tart, buttery, vanilla. The tartness is nice but too much diacetyl going on to be enjoyable. Not up to par.

Black pour with a tall, soapy to creamy caramel brown head. Aroma is woody and caramel laden bourbon, toffee, coffee, a little chocolate syrup, roast and light spruce. Flavor is sweet chocolate, coffee, toffee, turbinado sugar, slightly burnt roasted nuts, light earthiness and a little pine and spicy hops. Medium body, creamy to chewy feel, light to medium carbonation. Good stuff overall.

This is one of the best and most delicious aged stouts. Itís not a double, but it is full of flavor without being cloying.

Lekker!

I want my bourbon stouts big and beefy with a huge body and lots of roastiness. This was watery. But, itís kinda sessionable which saves it.

Incredibly drinkable, with the barrel being a part of the whole, rather than dominating, as it so often does.
