Tap. This was surprisingly thin and watery. I’m used to my bourbon stouts being big and heavy. The flavor was good- lots of chocolate with a good bourbon flavor and it went down smoothly but I would prefer some more body.

Draft at Growler Guys: Dark brown pour with a smaller tan head. The aroma… fantastic. One of the best smelling stouts I’ve ever had. Mild bits of the Wild Turkey barrel treatment, loads of German chocolate cake, vanilla, mocha… it’s divine at this point. The mouthfeel is a little on the thin side, but good coffee flavor and a light bit of chocolate. Moderate barrel notes. Had the makings of a world class stout, but doesn’t quite make the finish line.

A weak version of stronger better tasting stouts by other breweries. Just tastes bland compared with a good STRONG FLAVOURFUL stout

Pours black with brown head. A strong coffee, chocolate, and light bourbon aroma. Very malty and starts with chocolate, coffee and caramel but then has some bourbon flavors. A lingering coffee and chocolate malt aftertaste.

Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent

Bottle at a tasting. Bourbon and stout elements married in harmony here. Coconut, woody, liquorish. Restrained roastiness, rather dried fruits. Good, not great.
