Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

Black pour. Tan creamy head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt and a little sweet bourbon. Silky/creamy with a taste very close to the aroma. Finishes creamy and sweet. The bourbon is there, but not overwhelming. I usually like a little stronger bourbon flavor in this style, but this is a nice balance.

Has vanilla notes with some licorice. this taste mellows after first opening. really balanced. Price point is very good for this and on the low end of alcohol content for a barrel aged beer. Would drink this again.

Dark brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma is malty, sweet, wood, brown sugar, vanilla. Taste is heavy sweet with light bitterness. You can almost taste the bourbon. Medium to light body, smooth texture, soft carbonation. Would like more of a punch from a bourbon barrel stout.
