3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tastes of Bourbon, toasted malts, vanilla, cocoa, coffee. Good, but not nearly as robust or complex as other BA Stouts. This could probably be related to the low abv. I could easily have a few of these without the alcohol slowing me down.

Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent

Bottle at a tasting. Bourbon and stout elements married in harmony here. Coconut, woody, liquorish. Restrained roastiness, rather dried fruits. Good, not great.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Excellent color, fast and aroma. Bourbon, slight chocolate, with a very nice vanilla finish that’s not heavy. Bourbon aroma & taste throughout makes for a very good beer. Order again in a heartbeat!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Almost black pour, reddish highlights. Couple fingers of dark tan head that did not last long and didn’t leave much in the way of lace. Quite sweet aroma, milk chocolate, vanilla, not a lot of bourbon. Whiskey comes though more in the taste. still quite sweet, heavier toffee. Fine.
