COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

Tastes of Bourbon, toasted malts, vanilla, cocoa, coffee. Good, but not nearly as robust or complex as other BA Stouts. This could probably be related to the low abv. I could easily have a few of these without the alcohol slowing me down.

650ml bottle. Deep black colour with a thin beige head. Vanilla, light whiskey, roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium to full body. Taste is medium sweet with whiskey and bitter chocolate notes. Long balanced complex finish. Overall, a very good beer.

Bottle at a tasting. Bourbon and stout elements married in harmony here. Coconut, woody, liquorish. Restrained roastiness, rather dried fruits. Good, not great.

Bottle kindly shared by Miro, many thanks. Very dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of dried fruits, plums, dark malt. Taste, red fruits, red berries, light dark malt. Too much fruity for stout, but overall good.

Bottle shared by Miro, many thanks. Opaque color, thick tan head. Aroma is malty, caramely, bourbouny, prunes, light roasted malt, raisins. Taste is sweety, fruity, prunes, raisins, bourbon. Good, but i expected more hoppy beer, more roasted malt, more coffee

Excellent color, fast and aroma. Bourbon, slight chocolate, with a very nice vanilla finish that’s not heavy. Bourbon aroma & taste throughout makes for a very good beer. Order again in a heartbeat!

Bottle. Almost black pour, reddish highlights. Couple fingers of dark tan head that did not last long and didn’t leave much in the way of lace. Quite sweet aroma, milk chocolate, vanilla, not a lot of bourbon. Whiskey comes though more in the taste. still quite sweet, heavier toffee. Fine.
