COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

Serving: Draft at Fire Works Leesburg. It pours a dark brown color with a thick tan head. The nose is potent and all Wild Turkey. The flavor reminds me of a Wild Turkey and Vanilla Coke with a bit of oak. Full bodied with a good bit of carbonation to lighten things up. A little chocolate emerges as the brew warms. Certainly enjoyable if you are a Wild Turkey fan, but if not, you will probably hate this one.

Bomber. Pours a dark brown with a dissipating tan head and aroma of bourbon and vanilla. Taste is full of bourbon as well, with alcohol, vanilla, and mocha notes into the finish.

With Z, pours a deep black pour with a beige head. Nose is whiskey, sweet vanilla and mocha. Taste is rich sweet malt with mocha and vanilla notes. Finishes on the same sweet tasting notes, dryly with a moderately long finish . Well balanced and very drinkable stout. quaff score 7 / 10

Dark, rich and complex. Bourbon flavors shine. Only slightly boozy though. Warming and enjoyable. Review after the fact; tasted out of a bottle share at the Hop Yard Raleigh.

Beczka w KiK. Barwa ciemna zbliżona do nieprzejrzystej. Piana przypominająca beżową, niska, szybko opadająca. Aromat niezbyt intensywny lecz zdominowany przez beczkę. Na drugim planie delikatna kawa, ciemne słody. Wysycenie średnie do wysokiego. Goryczka niska ale wyraźnie zaznaczona. W smaku dominuje whisky, paloność, oznaki kawy. Trunek jest gładki, średnio pełny. Porównując do polskim BA ( jeżeli można dokonać takiego porównania) nie robi już żadnego wrażenia. Ot stout stażony w beczke po szlachetnej wkisky.

Rami Rami is drinking a Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout by Anderson Valley Brewing Company at Kufle i Kapsle Bardzo zdominowany przez beczke, sporo wanilii, kokosa, teoche ciemnych owocow, malo palonosci, nieco kawy. Bardzo gladki. Szybko znikajacy

Nice roast and this avoids the trap of many bourbon beers in that it’s not overdone. Nice balance of bourbon. A little too sweet though.

Sweet malty aroma. Pours deep brown with a tan head. Decent flavor, chocolaty with a bit of whiskey.

Aroma: roasted, sweet malt; bread; coffee; a bit of chocolate; bourbon is pretty mild. Pretty mild general bitterness. Color: Dark brown, almost black; small tan head. Taste: fairly sweet, mildly bitter. Texture: oily/slightly slick. Carbonation slightly mild. Finish is long with roasted malt, Coffee, Chocolate;also sweet. Body is on the light side for a BB Stout. Overall a mellow BB Stout; I like the combination of sweetness with roasted malt and coffee. The base stout is not a great one (a bit thin), but all in all there are enough different aromas here to add up to a fairly interesting beer.

Pours a dark black color with a woodsy, vanilla, alcohol aroma. Taste is roasted barley, espresso chocolate, and bourbon. Initially, the bourbon was fully discernable at first drink, then it melded into some smooth complex flavors. A nice bourbon aged beer.
