3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
<!-- i -->12 oz. bottle.<!-- /i --> Have I finally gotten the last of the winter seasonals out of the house? After all, itís hefeweizen time. Still, letís give this one a go. Nice orangey head over a cloudy APA style body. Rich malt smell while pouring. Taste is rich and malty. Spices are rather light compared to the Anchor Our Special, and definitely not in the way. Occsional hints of a northwestern hop profile, but thatís about it. Nice drinking, like a baby barley wine.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 12oz bottle a dark amber with a small quickly disappearing tan head. Aroma was of caramel malt, vanilla, and a small touch of floral hops. Flavor was a smooth caramel, some good spices, a a small hop bite in th e finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2005 vintage. The beer pours to a dark amber body with a thin head. The aroma is vanilla, strong milky caramel, apples. The flavor is milky caramel, light spices, subtle tartness, sweetness like yellow apples. The palate is creamy milk with some good sweetness and moderate carbonation. A good drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Caramel, Spices, Oak and VANILLA
Appearance: Amber to brown with a thin off white head
Flavor: Again complex with Malty, Caramelly, Raisiny, Spicy flavors which are dominated by Vanilla
Palate: For a light bodied beer, the flavors are complex enough to linger for a while with a little hoppy bitteness for some respite
Overall: A very wonderful festive ale.... I am not sure if it would be a winter warmer... For me the vanilla was a little too much to be quaffable but make no mistake a very wonderful beer

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fruity spicy aroma. Cherry skins, peach and apricot. Sweet spicy malt notes, light caramel and tannins. Bit of vanilla and oak. Deep amber clear with thin lacing head. Medium watery body with light-medium carbonation. Starts sweet with good fruity character. Apricot and peach notes with skin tannins. Light nutmeg and ginger, too, with some caramel maltiness. Light bitter tannic finish with sweet watery fruity after. Decent ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fairly nice, with an appropriate flavor with a winter beer. Almost no head, with a short, but rather spicy finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours fairly thick dark red with a tan head. interesting aroma. sweet and fruity (fake strawberries) hay cinnamon and ginger and a hint of roasted malt. quite a bit of warm alcohol in the aroma as well but it doesnt overpower anything. flavor doesnt live up to the aroma. flavor is dominated by hay with some sweet fruit and a bit of alcohol. medium body with a very dry spicy finish and mild carbonation. decent beer. i just wish the flavor would have been more balanced like the aroma.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is unique. I like...maybe peach or apricot, cinnamon definitely, ginger, vanilla, pretty cool. Large puffy head. Soapy texture. Very interesting taste. Vanilla and ginger are the main ingredients. Iím not sure if Iíve ever tasted a beer with this flavor before. Itís a bit cloying, but improves as you drink more. Unique for sure. Good, well maybe, as of now I canít quite come to that conclusion. But the interesting factor makes it score higher than your average beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a near-opaque mahogany with a tan, fizz-away head. Aroma finds juicy citrus before stale, caramel-candied malt. Iím surprised by the spiciness I encounter on the first sip, made even more shocking by the fizzy palate. Holiday spice evens out to a familiar flavor of <a href=http://www.groovycandies.com/V2ProdDetail1.as Vanilla Royals ( my mom used to love those). Once I taste the vanilla, I can detect it in the aroma. Alcohol appears late and has a drying effect. Interesting and festive, but vanilla isnít tops on my list of beer additives.
