3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Apples, tart cherries, and orange. Some hop bitterness helps to cut through the fruit and caramel sweetness. Malt and vanilla and some hazelnut, too maybe.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
wow, this beer had a very different consitency that i expected though i am enjoying more and more with every sip. Body is surprisingly thin and hop presence is all but absent. Aroma is full of fruit-bananas and cherries, also hints of cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla. Very easy to drink with lingering aftertaste of creamy goodness. alcohol well hidden.. ..a very deceiving brew. want to taste last years now!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The aroma of this seasonal is strong and sweet. Fruits — raspberry, cherries and a hint of banana — combine with caramel and sweet malt notes. The flavor follows the aroma with the sweet malts and fruits dominating. There is a slight bitterness at the end, but not much hop presence, perhaps because this was a 2004 bottle. Thin to medium body which is slightly sticky in the mouth, but nicely carbonated. Smooth finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy deep amber red with a nice amount of foamy white head. Looks delicious! Aroma is sweet and malty, slightly citrusy, cloves and cinnamon, bananna. Flavor is incredibly smooth, but not in a weak watery sense. Very distinct vanilla cream flavor with slight hoppy undertones and some cinnamon spice thrown in for good measure. Overall, an excellent holiday ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2004 Bottle: Thick, cloudy amber pour. Fruity aroma touches on pears and cherries and a bit of sweet malt. The body is sugary sweet, but not so much that it is cloying. More like it is dusted with powdered sugar. The sweetness is balanced with spicy hops and caramel malts, creating a truly unique profile. The finish is vanilla and cream, which unfortunately overpowers the hop spiciness. Although this could use a little more hop balance, this is an interesting warmer to say the least.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a turbid orange-amber with a small quickly dissipating white head. Smells like a butterscotch and a little vanilla. Tastes of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and maybe a little like crreme soda with some nice added spice for the finish.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark brown appearance. Just slightly nutty aroma. The shocker is the dominate chocolate flavor. Maybe a little bit of vanilla, but I say chocolate. smooth textured. Not bad by any means, but different surely. I liked it, but it’s just not my style. This brew could use some more hoppy characteristics to make it balance out. Certainly worth a try. THAT MEANS YOU.
