Bottle from LIDL as Duc De Coeur. Pale gold with a bit of fizz. Sweet apple pulp and sugar aroma. Flavour was similarly sweet with no much character evident. Dreary and syrupy.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden with a white, big-bubbled head that’s gone in an instant. Aroma is slight sour and acid, apple skin, fermented apples. Flavor is semi-dry with rather sweet apple, fermented apples and sugar. Palate is light and watery, not much carbonation. Could do with more carbonation and a firmer mouthfeel. Serve well chilled.

Bottle from Lidl as Duc De Coeur. Aroma is hard to describe, definitely different from Finnish ciders, apple and yeast? Taste is pleasant apples, soft palate and ok balance.

Clear medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, yellow apple, wood, vanilla. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, apple, sweet apples. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111105]

Bottle @ Ulfborg, Early Winter Tasting, 2011. Pours clear golden with a bubbly off white head. Sweet apples. A bit of barnyard. Quite dry. Uncomplicated and a bit thin.

Bottle, as Duc de Coeur Cidre de Normandie Brut. 75cl. It pours a clear, golden body with some white bubbles around the rim. Apples dominates the aroma, as expected, some apple cores too, and a touch of grass. The flavor is a bit sweet I think, and of course tasting of apples. Medium body, smooth. A decent one, but too sweet for me. Would probably do better with some food. 111105
