(Rating #1778) shigadeyo (1370), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA May 1, 2008 4/30/2008: Andrew’s St. Nick’s Porter pours a toasty brown color with a very large cascading tan head. The beer itself is mostly clear and has a moderate amount of carbonation. The aroma presents roasted malt and some chocolate. Flavors include weak coffee, fruity malt, hints of chocolate, and a decent grassy bitterness in the crisp finish. It has a medium-light body with a smooth texture. Overall this beer isn’t complex, but it is well-balanced and easy to drink.

mcbackus (638), Merritt Island, Florida, USA Apr 16, 2008 bottle shared by hopscotch: pours with a very large off white head that has tiny bubbles making it up some lacing very dark brown body. aroma is sugared candy, dark fruits no roast flavour is balanced but nothing really going on. hopscotch (4477), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Apr 14, 2008 Bottle... Pours dark brown and sits black with a huge, rocky, khaki head. Terrific retention. Mineral and fig aromas. Medium-bodied and über fizzy. Perfectly balanced, but so very thin. Hardly anything to it, but inoffensive and refreshing. Short, crisp, ultra clean finish with a whisper of bitter chocolate. More like a brown ale than a porter. bfeldmann (966), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Sep 28, 2007 Ho hum big time. Pour was a dark dark brown with small head and not much lacing. Aroma is dry and roasty with some dark fruits as well. Flavor was roasted malts some burnt coffee in there was well. For a porter was a little thin in the mouth.
