Draught. Unclear deep amber colour with a meadium bubbly fairly well alsting head. Aroma of spices, mainly anise, and caramel. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is spiced, anise, with caramel, some fruit and a mild bitterness. I am not much for anise any more....

Brown with a lasting white head. Fennel seeds and anise dominate the aroma, with some caramel in the background. Dry and malty flavour. Too spiced for my taste.

Draft. An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of anise, caramel, and straw.

From tap at Lord Nelson. Pours hazy deep orange with a fully gone head. Mild perfumed and spiced aroma. Sweet and fruity flavoured with a distinct annis seed flavour. Solid caramel malty. Acidic to citric fruity aroma and flavour. Light fruity finish with a mild annis seed note.
