Cask conditioned at The Crown, Oxford. Chestnut with cream head. Full, sweet, malty beer, there is a pleasing nuttiness to the malts, quite richly roasted and a pleasant jammy note, slightly orange in character. Pretty decent.

Cask at the Carpenters Arms, Windsor - 22/12/12. Clear dark orange/amber with a thin off white head that quickly dissipates to the edge and a thin film. Nose is dark malts, toffee, spice, orange rind, light hop backnotes. Taste comprises dark malt, touch of spice, toffee, bready notes, dark fruits, orange. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish.
