Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival on 27 April 2011. Clear gold colour. Biscuity aroma. More of a traditional feel than vibrant aromatic hops. Clean and quite refreshing but a little uninspiring. A respectable, straightforward quaffer.

Cask conditioned handpump Volunteer Ventnor. A golden beer with a white head and lacing. Pleasant light citrus notes in the aroma. Drinkable beer but bog standard in the mouth where the hops are more muted. Safe.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 3, 2010
Cask handpump at GBBF, Trade Day 03-08-10 Pours pale gold with white bubbling head. This is quite a shock after all of those US hoppy beers in that its back to the wonderful simpleness of a UK cask beer. There is a soft sweetness, some citrus on the nose and in the mouth, easy going and jolly tasty. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2008.
Smooth, drinkable, but there is nothing extra here to make it truly fine. A good session beer.
