COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
NOTE: The bottled version (at 4.2%) has a separate listing.
Light ale with fresh taste and citrus aroma.
Named after a fishing fly used for luring trout, this blonde ale has a refreshing palate due to the use of high quality pale ale malt. By blending different hops at various stages of the brewing process we have been able to produce a citrus aroma with a balanced bitterness.

Cask conditioned handpump Volunteer Ventnor. A golden beer with a white head and lacing. Pleasant light citrus notes in the aroma. Drinkable beer but bog standard in the mouth where the hops are more muted. Safe.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival on 27 April 2011. Clear gold colour. Biscuity aroma. More of a traditional feel than vibrant aromatic hops. Clean and quite refreshing but a little uninspiring. A respectable, straightforward quaffer.

A very solid blonde ale. Poured a very pleasant golden colour and first impressions were encouraging. It is was very light and refreshing, with distinct citrusy overtones and a well balanced bitterness. Would definitely try again
