Light amber best bitter with balanced aromas & bitterness.
Taking its name from a town within the high Arctic, despite its cool name this is the sort of bitter that you’ll easily warm to. Our Best Bitter combines the finest malt and hops to produce a well balanced malty and hoppy flavour with a light amber colour.

Cask conditioned at The Kings Head, Alton, Hampshire. Gold amber with white head. Dry malty beer with a fruity background, quite plummy. Quite dry throughout, reasonably drinkable.

[Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading] Dark amber, no head. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Some fruitiness (apple & plum) and some toffee. Finishes with a rather stale bitterness - and given that this was in one of Reading’s premier real ale houses, I’m sure the staleness wasn’t caused by the pub. Not great. c7
