Strong toffee caramel aroma. Smells sweet and delicious. Hoppy taste with a toffee undertone. Smooth. Quite drinkable, but then I like toffee.

JDW, Southampton. Foxy amber premium bitter with chocolate notes. Honeycomb lovely. I like this.

Cask hand pump @ Rowbarge, Woolhampton, Berks. Dark ruby colour, fruity style, pleasant and not too heavy for a lunchtime drink with food.

Clear russet brown in colour with a thin tan head.
Caramel on the nose, sweet brown sugar, malts.
Tastes as nose, a little toffee also.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a dry finish.

Cask@GBBF2012. Copper colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mildly syrupy with some resiny and sappy notes. Flavour is syrupy, some sweet malts, wood, resiny and mild toffeeish notes.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Ruislip Manor (New brew beer festival). A deep brown ruby coloured pour with virtually no head on top. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, fruity with some caramel in there too. Rather thin and uninspiring.

Cask @ The Three Guineas. Pours clear ruby mahogany wuth a minimal beuge head leaving some lacing. Aroma is toasted, malty, bready, caramel, fruity and a bit sweet. Flavor much like the aroma, a bit vinous and very nice caramel sweetness. Finishes malty sweet and bitter.

Cask at The Village Freehouse, Salisbury. A dark amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of nuts, malt, and a bit of citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, nuts, and caramel, leading to a dry nutty finish where hops bite lightly in the tongue.
