COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
NOTE: The bottled version (at 4.9%) has a separate listing.
Rich ruby ale with a fruity aroma.
This ale is named after a deep red dragon fly found in local rivers and wetlands. The beer, the newest to the Andwell’s range, uses malted rye to create its characteristic ruby glow. The flavours and aromas derive from a combination of English hops.

Cask at The Village Freehouse, Salisbury. A dark amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of nuts, malt, and a bit of citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, nuts, and caramel, leading to a dry nutty finish where hops bite lightly in the tongue.

Cask gravity at SIBA BF South East 2011. Clear deep russet colour. Thin colour of white bubbles. Swwet malt aroma. Sweet and fruity aroma. Tasty enough red ale. Some ok bitterness on finish. Some tea flavour. But I like the pink grapefruit that runs through it. Attractive finish

On cask @ Odiham & Greywell Cricket Club, Hampshire. Fast becoming my favourite of the Andwell brews. Its dark ruby glow very much brought it to my attention and its flavour complimented it perfectly. Very full bodied and rich malty, nutty flavour makes it a very drinkable ale that made a 2nd pint highly necessary.
