thebeertourist (1696), Oslo, Norway Oct 28, 2007 Bottle. Pours hazy pale golden with a big, rocky white head. Potent spiced and herbal aroma. Even somewhat meaty. Sweet and meaty flavour, like a good old serrano ham with a herbal edge. Noticeable alcohol. Not the most refreshing, but with some personality despite being a supermarket private label. oh6gdx (5207), Vaasa, Finland Jul 21, 2007 Bottled. Yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity and slightly metallic. Also some alcohol. Flavour is yeast, toffee, fruits and some alcohol. Not very exciting, but still drinkable and quite clean. DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Croatia Jul 9, 2007 Bottle from Delhaize supermarket in Brussels. Hazily coriandered, witbierish Strong Ale with a spiritous whiff of rubber about it. Acidic and fizzy. Pretty glad it was ’jettisoned’ in the Cafe at Charleroi Airport. Looks usefully like Grisette Blanche. Jerre (1285), Waregem, Belgium May 27, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl. Brewed for Delhaize.
Dark golden color, with nice white head. Aroma yeasts, little fruity alcoholic notes. Medium body. Taste some spices, yeasty, sweet and little bitterness. Dry end. SHIG (1383), Oberoffligen, Germany Jul 17, 2006 Golden amber color with thick creamy white head. Sweet grassy hop smell. Rich sweet malt flavor.
