COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is a malty amber ale. It is medium gravity with a malty middle, beautiful color and sparkling clear. Angel City Ale utilizes Yakima Golding hops in three kettle additions to give it a subdued yet complex bittering which provides a thirst quenching dry finish.

Bottle: Reddish caramel, thick haze, thin fizzy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Soft malty nose, seems as if it also might be a tad sour or tart.   Pale fruit skin is slightly noticeable.   Subtle sour maltiness at start, not hop oriented at all.   Minor sweetness, but just as much tartness, almost lactic like sourness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Slight graininess at the finish.   Fairly clean, lighter example of the style with an interesting pale fruit skin and sour touch.   Thanks Jordan!

Bottom line is not inspiring and probably last time I would drink this beer. The beer is a hazy orange-amber coloring with a thin film of head. Aroma is flowery, with caramel notes in the background. Overall, the nose was a bit muted, and the flavors seemed a bit watery. Very light bodied beer. There were slightly sour malt flavors with flowery and citrus sweet highlights. Slightly sour, again, on the aftertaste, and a mid-lingering finish. A little weak for the style in terms of body and flavor.

Brilliant amber color/ fleeting head. Nutty, caramel, pine aromas. medium bodied with soft co2. Decent malty sweet bread, nutty caramel flavors.

Poured copper and clear with a decent white head and average lacing. The aroma smelled of infection as did the taste. Thin, harsh mouthfeel. Bad bottle. Need to try again.

Pours a brown amber, with small head. Sweet malt, caramel, citrus, light bread and some hops. Boring and bland.

Bomber. Pours a cherry coke sort of a color. Somewhat sweet malty aroma. A hint of hops as well. Fairly crisp and malty. Good hop character. Somewhat grainy for an amber. Pretty tasty though. I’m glad to see they got rid of that sour cream flavor.

On tap. Creative name. Color was a dirty amber. Aroma was fruity and bready. Flavor was like HI-C punch, which was quite bizarre. Some yeast and mineral water as well. Very strange, but not terrible.

Okay, nothing really to write home about. Subtly hoppy but not over the top. Decent mouthfeel, but underwhelming, just kind of an average decent drinkable, but not noteworthy beer.

A nice looking brew, decent head, malt, slight caramel, Hoped nice for the style, nice drinking brew. Bought bottled at the Alpine Village Euro Market, next to the brewery, so it was probably very fresh.

Pretty decent beer, would like it a little more if it had a bigger finish, it just drops right off of the palate. Otherwise pretty well balanced, a rich toasted caramel maltiness, some light toffee notes as well. Pretty sessionable, I would drink this again.

12oz bottle from BevMo! One of the better Angel City beers. An aroma of malt and caramel on an amber body with a head that dissipates quickly. Toasted malt and some amount of bitterness.
