Big, bold, grapefruit hop flavors and aroma best characterize this medium-bodied, copper-hued beer. Angel City IPA is hopped with Citra, Nelson, and Simcoe to make the perfect treat for hop heads.

Bright orange body white cap of foam. Aroma of resin, wild onion, grapefruit, tropical. Taste toffee, sweet bread malt, then resinous tropical, onion with grapefruit rind finish that lingers. Light to medium body well carbonated. Quaffable yet bold IPA with good hop character.

Draft and live-rate at the Beverly Wilshire hotel bar. $10 for probably a 14 ounce pour. Thanks, work! Pours clear gold with a white head. Mild spicy and light citric hops, mild moderate bitterness, and some toffee sweet malts. Fine.

Draught in SF. Golden amber and clear with moderate white head that patterns down. Pine and cat litter marry for a solid aroma. Taste is slightly cloying and dank. Fairly tasty.

On tap at triple 8 China bar downtown LA. Pours light golden with small head, aroma a bit weak like bud light or something. Drinks mild and finish stronger hop and citrus. Not bad new brand for me.

Bottle from Big Ben: Poured a medium golden blonde liquid and was topped with a minimal formation of foam head. Aroma was mild and smelled sweet and also had notes of citrus fruit. Flavor is mildly bitter and taste of orange and lemon peels that finishes with a bitter tasteless finish.

Draft - Nice bright citrus. Clear gold with a nice white head. Nice grapefruit citrus notes and lid of caramel sweetness. Maybe a bit too sweet.

Bottle at engine co no 28 in LAX terminal 8. Aroma nothing special; amberish. Flavor much better. Well balanced and fruity. Nice lace. Crystal clear body which is a little odd for an IPA. Solid. Probably better than the best draft alternative: goose island IPA.

Rating #1586 - 22.03.2015 - On tap at 33 taps at Clear golden amber pour with a weak, white head that bubbles away to a ring. Aroma is strong with hoppy overtones, super pink grapefruit, tangerine, Taste is more of the same, dry bitter hop notes and cakey malts dominating the flavour, with a dose of pink grapefruit sweetness sure to last. Fantastic IPA out of LA.

Bottle sample at a tasting at avrashi’s place. Thanks Rotem. Clear gold with white film. Old hops, onion and skunk aroma, stale bitterness, old hoppiness in the mouth. Medium body, old hops finish.

Tasty IPA but nothing to brag home about. This one is well balanced and eat on the palate. Enjoy!!
