On draft. Not much aroma save for a wee bit of pine resin. Flavor of citrus and a lot of gingerbread. A strikingly sweet IPA, actually. A tad above average.

April 6th, 2013 - Angel City’s Angeleno is a pleasant and hoppy brew, leading with a nice, well rounded hops, and bolstered by the flavor of huge chunks of citrus, like pineapple, orange, tangerine and mikan. The aroma is much more powerful, boasting an hops intensity that isn’t echoed in the flavor, and very sticky, even as a fragrance. Pineapple and mango appear here too, and overall I like the tropical take. I bet it would cut through the greasy noodles and other fried fare one might find at the nearby Little Tokyo.

On tap @ LAX. Pours slightly hazy dark golden with thin white head. Aroma is mild caramel malt and lightly floral citrusy hops. Taste is similar, though bigger and better: lightly sweet nutty caramel malt, big bitter hops with some juicy pine flavor. Not bad, all considered.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Levi. Clear golden with an off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma with tropical fruits, citrus and a piney note. Quite dry flavor, with malt, pleasant fruity hops, a bit of pine and a nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Really good stuff.
