3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at LAX. Deep gold pour, modest white head. Slightly grainy, slightly skunk aroma. Flavor is a bit better; straight ahead American pils, malt a bit sweet and prominent. Acceptable. But 10.39 for a 16oz beer? Seriously WTF?

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
April 6th, 2013 - The festive atmosphere at Angel City belies some surprisingly dull beers, though this is not a hard and fast rule. A pattern did emerge across the tasters if curiously boring brews mingling with some more interesting work, beginning with their Pilsner. The aroma has a waft if sulfur and mineral water, and the singular scent of the inside of a cave - damp, but clean. The flavor is quite tame, with an overworked palate, which wrings the flavor out of the experience. When the bubbles subside in the aftertaste U cab catch some toasted pils type flavors, but it’s too little and too late. On to the next Angel City brew!

On draft. Whiff of sunny weatiness. Flavors of bread, sweet citrus hops. Finishes with lots of body, kind if unpilsner-like. Nice.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of my picks for top beer from this DTLA brewery. Pours a dark yellow. A little grain in the aroma. The taste is crisp and clean. Some grain notes and minerality dominate but don’t overpower. What I like in a pilsner.

On tap at Gate 45, Terminal 4, LAX. Crystal clear golden hued body with a quick to fade white head. Aromas are grainy, toasty, light fruity ester, clean. Flavors are bitter, floral, and a low level of diacetyl that is not too detracting. Bitter balance, dry with lively carbonation.
