2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 mjg74 (2106) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 31, 2007
Bottle from Hi-Time Wine. Medium golden color upon pouring. A hint of orange too. Aroma is very bready. Some graininess as well. Very malty brew. Not too tough to drink. Seems a little heavy handed to me, for the style.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DarkElf (2938) - La Jolla, California, USA - JUL 9, 2007
08-Jul-07 (22 oz bottle: $2.99 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) The aroma of sweet biscuits draped in honey, and the notable lack of hops immediately hints that, contrary to the label, this is not going to be a "crisp lager." The malt has a very bready flavor with low-to-medium sweetness, and the very mild hop flavor and bitterness is all but lost. The strong breadiness totally dominates the finish. Fairly heavy body for a pilsener, and carbonation is far too soft for the style as well. Without much in the way of hop bitterness, the bready malts really weigh down the beer, giving it a stale mouthfeel and further robbing it of any hope of the promised crispness. Dark-golden in color and hazy from a flurry of visible particles, the appearance is further marred by a small and very short-lived, off-white head that fully dissipates and leaves no lacing. Overall, it’s drinkable, but for a pilsener, it’s well below average and thus not recommended.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 IndianaRed (1727) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 14, 2007
Bottle pours a slightly hazy light yellow with a small quick white head. Light grain malt aroma. Flavor is sweet and very lightly hoped. Your basic pilsner but better than the american Macros, thats for sure.
Thanks Jordan

Bottle: Clear yellow with a small white head. Faint aroma of malts and bread. Taste is sweet and malty, herbal tones, sours, and a crisp grassey presence. Not bad, but not all that great. Thanks Jordan.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUN 13, 2007
Bottle: Gold color, nice head nad lacing. Nose of light malt and hops. Some lotiony pilsner malts and a bit of herbal hops. Toasty, light bitterness in the flavor. Clean and bit unbalanced. Eh.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 davelouw (13) - San Luis Obispo, California, USA - MAY 27, 2007
Served on draft at the 2007 Avila Beer Festival.
Pours a hazy sunshine yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is entirely corn (in a good way.) Flavor is definite corn with very light body and alcohol influence. No hop flavor to speak of.
A great example of a Classic American Pilsner. The style calls for a slightly grainy, corny flavor and aroma and it comes through. If you’re a Bud/Miller/Coors drinker you’ll find this has too much flavor for you. If you like homebrew this is one of the tastiest American pilsner beers you’ll find.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 riversideAK (4381) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 21, 2007
I dont know what everyone else is tasting, but it tasted pretty much like a true to form pilsner to me. Crisp, easy drinking, some biscuity flavor. A little sweetness as it warmed. It was just a regular brew.

From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with no freshness date.
Poured a clear dull golden with a small foamy white head that quickly settled into a fine lacing.
Aromas of grainy, biscuity malts and sour lemon honey.
Moderate carbonation and a crisp, sour, tart, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
A weird sour, tart taste for a pilsener, a sour lemon honey fruitiness, sweet grainy malts, far too sweet for me, not much in the way of hops, I guess some spiciness, but I may be trying to talk myself in to that, and a dryish, sour fruity finish.
Not my idea of a pilsener, too much of a sweet and sour effect, I won’t be trying this again.
