RSRIZZO (1027), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 16, 2007 Had on 7/5/2006. Aroma is a light sour Hefe like scent. Color is a light hazy orange. Taste is a mellow Hefe taste. Its a bit flat but is a good taste and could be a good Hefe if the carbonation was up a bit.
AgentSteve (852), SF Bay Area, California, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours hazy pale gold with no head. The nose is decent with malt and bready biscuit. Similar flavor, but not as smooth and a soapy finish. bb (2168), Martinez, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and wheat aroma. Sweet malt flavor with wheat, spice, light citrus, and light bubblegum. Medium body. Banana, spice, bubblegum, and sweet malt linger. TheBeerLover (1013), DC Metro Area, USA Jun 30, 2008 22 oz bomber. Pours to a hazy, deep golden color, with a thick, tall, white head, and a vibrant carbonation. The nose on this beer is inviting, with light aromas of clove, estery fruit and banana. The palate is firm, with good, tart wheat malt flavors, paired with some estery fruity flavor of pear, and some banana flavor. This beer finishes with more good tart wheat malt up front, then ends with some clove spicy flavors that linger. I would have enjoyed a touch more yeasty, estery aromas and flavors, but really enjoyed this one. A good domestic example of hefeweizen. A nice summer refresher, and a good beer to match with weisswurst, or any other German fare. mjg74 (1800), La Mesa, California, USA Mar 21, 2008 Bomber. Hazy amber in color upon pouring. Yeasty dry clove aroma. Somewhat grainy with a little spice. Not as sweet as I would like. But at least it’s not sour like most of their beers. bsierra (183), Vista, California, USA Mar 17, 2008 On draft at Alpine Village. Poured with a cloudy orange hue. Nose of Clove and Banana with rich spices. Good carbonation with beautiful accents of ripe banana and spicy clove. This was a pleasure to drink and it blows away just about every other hefe in the market right now
