Nice and Subtle. badgerben (3066), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Feb 21, 2005 Murky amber color with a thin head. Slightly floral aroma. Taste of fresh grains with some extreme bitterness, but lacking the floral hops which I found to be nice. Very fine amber. JPDIPSO (4216), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jan 19, 2004 The old Believers Bitter. I found out the name was changed because a consultant was hired and indicated that people did not want a "bitter" beer. THey indicated that sales have increase significantly since. For a city that prides itself on policital correctness and intelligentsia, you have to love the naivete. Copper color with a light cream colored head. Light fruit and citrus nose. Caramel, earthy malt and light fruit. A decent brew and now that it is an amber, better than most. ElGaucho (1721), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 26, 2003 Sampled at Angelic brewery.
