JPDIPSO (4234), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 24, 2007 Brown to chestnut in color with a tight beige bubbled head. Bread dough and yeast aromas along with raisins and plums. Touch of spice and alcohol also noted. Sweet start with pale malts and light fruit (raisins and melons). Spice seems to dry everything out in this one as the alcohol also comes in a warms things up and washes them away. Quite strong not a big lasting finish. JohnnyOS (610), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Mar 22, 2006 Pours a dark brownish red with off-white head. Roasted malt aroma, with some grains, yest and dark fruit elements. Flavor is like the flicker of a lightbulb - brief, but just enough to get you where you need to go. Good, but I wish the light would’ve stayed on longer. robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Apr 18, 2005 Dark Brown/Red Coloring with Sandy Ring. Malt and Fruity Aroma. Bread Dough, Yeasty and Malty...Watered Down Fast....with Dry Aftertaste. Started Out with Solid Flavor and Thick Mouthfeel and Died All Too Early. badgerben (3074), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Feb 21, 2005 Brown color with a thin head. Dusty malt aroma. Fruity taste with a sweet and syrupy taste. A little malt holding up the base. Just a pinch of corriander and alcohol at the end. I found this to be damn fine. JoeM500 (1877), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2004 Festival tap: Brickred/brown with a sugary nose. Biscuity and sweet at the sides of my mouth. Very creamy double, rich malty sweet mouthfull. Some kick at the finish from alcohol.
