Commercial Description:
A very full body characterizes traditional Doppelbocks. They have a deep, rich caramel malt flavor and aroma. A thick velvety texture is also a trademark of these beers, and the Angelic Liberator Doppelbock is an excellent example of this strong German Lager.

Caramelly and malty in flavor and aroma, a medium brown color. Not much of a head. Alcohol was slightly noticeable but not by any means overwhelming; smooth. Even though this was not a great doppelbock, I enjoyed it.

Had this at a bachelor party this weekend. It was very drinkable, and would go well with strippers (not that I would know or anything).

This beer actually matches the commercial description very well. A dark color, with a caramel flavor and aroma. Thickness is about where it should have been. A slight alcohol burn was present, but nothing beyond what I usually expect from a Dopplebock.

Mediocre. Remarkably thin. Would be a good "session" doppelbock, if there is such a thing.
