1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, - SEP 26, 2005
(bottle) Dark cloudy amber colour with a thick rocky off-white head. This beer offers not much aroma and taste. Very shy fruity and malty aroma. Watery texture and taste, almost no finish. Not bland, even bad.

Fazit: Nicht so toll!

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by wheat, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of wheat and caramel.

Bottle, 5.1%. Ok banana aroma, slightly metallic. Muddy brown colour. Nice, creamy, stable head. The flavour is roasted with a citric finish. Good mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation, but still pleasant.

It’s pretty much true what’s previously said. Quite mellow and modest aroma and flavour, dry, even hoppy. Very buttery or oily mouthfeel. But it’s pretty good.

Chestnut color, thick head. Flowery flavor with banana, mandarin and a touch of caramel. Refreshing beer, low on aroma but not without flavor. Just a touch of soap. OK. Bottle from MoritzF.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - SEP 28, 2004
Cloudy amber colour. This tastes like a bland helles hefe-weizen. Watery, somehow weird. A look at the bottle confirms my suspicions. Farbebier is used in this beer. This does not necessarily mean that this is not real dunkelweizen, but the taste suggests it.
It´s bland, but not offensive.
