500ml bottle. Spiralling gold with a fine white head. Cooked corn, beeswax, mild grassy aroma. Washy, weak grassy notes; some floured rubber, almond: a bit strong European lager. Love my German lagers but this is a poor one and a disappointing way to kick off the midweekend.

A 5L alu box @Kaufland, a clear yellow beer with huge head. Nose is nutty and dry like, aroma is lightly grainy, paper notes, light body, peppery hops, very basic.

ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 24, 2011
Bottled 500ml. -Yellow coloured, small white head, dry nose with notes of honey. Malty, light grainy and cardboard with notes of honey. Dry bitterish finish. Boring and (below) average pils.

Marko (3112) - Split, CROATIA - SEP 14, 2011
Good thing this is on RB, the back label fell from ogivlado’s bottle fell of and we would’ve been screwed for info. Aaanyway, this poured a shiny yellow body with a small white head. Smooth (why am I using this word so much?) soapy honey in the nose, bit herbal. The taste is a honey assault, bit papery and stale. Dry, with a very light bitterness/acidity near the end. This isn’t that bad, but it’s sligthly too heavy for the strength - heck, I even felt alcohol for a second, lacking drinkability, and definitely not a proper pils.

suprchunk (1059) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - MAY 17, 2010
Poured from a bottle - mine was labeled Spezial. Pours a straw color, little lighter though. Small white head that sticks around for a little bit. Smells a little off, a little DMS. A little too much. Comes through in the taste as well. Which is masking any malt characteristics you would expect in a pils. Leaves that aftertaste in your mouth too long. Overall just an below average pils.

leaparsons (6323) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2010
Bottle. Pale gold with a White foam. Aromas are grain and corn with grassy notes and yeast. Flavours are sweet grain with some caramel. Grassy hops with lots of grolsch-like yeast. Bitter abs dry on the finish. Better than expected.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 3/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 7/20
TBone (9405) - Pori, FINLAND - MAR 12, 2010
Bottled (BB 01/2010)
Golden color, small white head. Strong grassy nose. Harsh papery malty flavor with woody hoppyness. Harsh aftertaste. One of the worst beers from Bamberg :)
