Canned. Pale yellow coloured. Weak slightly dusty aroma. Very watery flavour with some unclean metallic notes. Quite bad.

Draft in Phnom Penh. Light golden with a small white head. Light sweet malt with corn and hints of cooked vegetables, fruit and hops. Quite sweet and watery, but went down easy in the heat. (2012-04-29)

Well I’ve had gallons and gallons of this and think it’s good enough, I guess. The typical patriotic pale lager. Good on a beach, much better than Anchor.

Certainly nothing exciting but very welcome after days of running around sightseeing in Cambodia. Don’t think I’d be too impressed if I was served it at home though!

Clear golden coloured body with a frothy white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom, with a crisp white, one centimetre tall head. Aroma of light malt, pale herbal notes and a touch of caster sugar. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic biting malt character with a bit of alcohol and herbal tastes. Aftertaste shows a bit more character with some lemons and sugar also noticeable, but the metallic and alcohol flavours still come through. Overall, not a great beer, but not horrible - and good with some spicey Khmer food, like Fish Amok, which I had this with. I sampled this pint on draught at Fish Restaurant on the waterfront in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 02-April-2012.

The commercial description is very right in almost everything. Golden pale, no aroma at all, very light bitterness, medium carbonation, no head retention, dry aftertaste. Very drinkable beer, just perfect for the summer.

On draft and in bottles in various places in Cambodia. Same old same old. Not quite as insipid as Anchor.

Can from JSA. Pale gold with a fluffy head. Aroma is thin corn and malt. Flavour has that solvent kick in alot of these type of lagers.

Tap and can. All on hot Cambodian days where a light beer is a welcome refreshment. Taste is of corn and wheat. Finish is a bit sweet and a touch dry; however, this is a refreshing beverage on hot and humid days.

Bottle in Battambang. Yellowish colour, sweetish aroma, again palate struggles with dubious grain mixture and seeming lack of freshness in hops.
