small frothy light brown head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. flat thick black body. aroma: coffee, caramel, light malty. if and ff: moderate sweet (malt and caramel). palate: lively carbonation, watery/oily texture, light medium body, metallic light alcoholic finish. no flaws. hides well the 8% ABV, but has medium warming. 50s

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him, Jablanko and others. Black coloured, medium sized brownish head, whiff of chocolate in the nose. Sweet and light roasted malt, caramel, mild chocolate and some dried fruits with short finish. Not bad but too sweet and somehow thin.

Enormous thanks to Nina, who brought a bottle from Cambodia! Shared with ogivlado, Jablanko and pornoguru (mmkay :D). Poured an almost black dark brown body with a small grey/ochre head. Oily aroma, coffee, alcohol, light. Bitterish taste, coffee and herbal hops really. Very well hidden alcohol in the taste (though I’m quite sure there was some glycerol in the background), but it’s remarkably thin and watery for the strength. Makes you doubt it’s 8% really. Far from a stunner, but was great to try it nonetheless.

Bottle as a gift from my parents. Many thanks! Dark brown/black colour, very nice creamy dark beige foam. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Some caramel also. Bitter and dry roasty finish. Wow, this was a big surprise.

From an off-license in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Produces up a deepest, midnight cola brown. Tannish puff lifts atop but settles to a line upon the meniscus. Nose licks at burnt sugar and caramel, golden syrup and treacle (you could it was dessert-like sweet!) with just a little burnt wood and cocoa. A bit of heat matches the sweet, treacly malts and smoky, burnt sugar notes of the palate. Tasted quite warm (refrigeration an issue) so it was full and viscous in body with a spritz front end. A nice kick of umami hits in hinting at soy sauce and kecap manis. Not much length; has a subtle washing detergent note to be its only flaw. Likeable brew but for location. 330ml bottle bought in siem reap. Pours very dark brown, almost black with dark beige head. Aroma is of coffee and molasses. Quite oily mouth feel. Smooth, bitter finish with a lot of coffee.

Flaske (gave fra Fredrik H) delt på dag 2, RBHD-samlingen hos Asle Bjørn: mørk brun med beige kort skum. Aroma minner om soyasaus på billig kinarestaurant. Smaken har i tillegg litt aske og muligens lakris. Middels fylde. Hverken god eller dårlig.

Black. Dense, but quickly diminishing beige head. Peat, soy souce and liquorice in aroma. Smoked cod in taste. Similar aftertaste, combined with some bitterness and sour chocolate.

Shared bottle during RBHD Mosterøl gathering. Small light brown and short lived head covering a clear deep mahogany body verging on black. Liquorice, soy sauce, and meaty tones on the nose. Soy sauce, roasted malts and a papery bitterness. Medium to full bodied.
