Enjoyed in Phnom Penh. Pours black with tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is roasted malt and some yeast. Flavor is the same with some dark fruit, coffee, hint of chocolate, mineral yeasty aftertaste. Some hops bitterness lingers and some slight booze. Decent brew for the area (way better than ABC stout), but in the grand scheme lacks balance and sophistication.

I can’t remember who this came from but thanks to whomever. Pours a thin, quick dissipating beige grey head atop a deep brown body. Nose of strong soy malt. Sweet, smokey and mild coffee undertones. Okay.

Pours thick black with a beige head. Aroma is strong roasted malts. Taste gets the same malts, hints of coffee, hops. Possibly the best Cambodian beer?

Bottle. Dark brown colour, small tan head. Coffee grounds aroma, toasted malt, caramel. Weak body with caramel, toasted malt, tart fruit, like a bad Baltic porter.

At a tasting, many thanks, small stable bubbly head, very deep brown color, aroma of dark bread, smoke and charred wood, flavor of coffee and charred wood with some cocoa, medium mellow bitterness, feels light for the alcohol and easy to drink. Really good.

Bottle shared at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks mom & dad for this bottle! Black with a nice tan head. Aroma of roast, grains, coffee, some smokiness, and a vegetal note. Bitter and slightly sweetish flavor, with roast, smoke, an acidic note, coffee, and some chocolate notes. Medium-bodied, quite rounded. Surprisingly nice stuff! Wasn’t expecting much, but this is a good, well-made, Foreign Stout.
