Draft at a restaurant in Siem Reap. A pale straw colour with a medium white head. Fairly watery, metallic notes, an unpleasant citric/herbal note. This is horrible stuff, the first standard lager I’ve actually found undrinkable.

Bottle. Clear pale gold with a frothy white head. Grainy aroma with weeds, some herbal and lemon touches. OK. Sweet with rice and a little cardboard with the grain. There are some mild herbal hop notes but not much in the way of bitterness. 11 months in date and perhaps that’s helping it seem better than its current score suggests.

Bottled@PBF XI. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is kind of sweet, with some grainy and mild herbal notes. Flavour is pretty similar, with also some mild rice sweetness. Surprisingly clean and "tasty".

33cl bottle. Country tick. PBF XI. Poured pale golden, thin white head. Rice, cardboard. Sweet flavor, not much more. Probably ok on a hot beach, I wouldn’t know. No, it wouldn’t be.

Classic Asian lager that tastes like corn syrup. Golden with thin head, bready acidic aroma, taste of corn and cheap malts. Meh

Typical eastern lager.
Almost no aroma, sweet bready flavour, some yeast, more malt than hop forward.
Appearance is like a typical clear golden coloured lager, so nothing bad about that.
oh well it works good with spicey food and with temperatures above 35° celcius it’s more than welcome.

Many thanks to Martin for bringing this 330ml can back from Cambodia! Grainy neutral nose. The beer starts neutral malty, a bit grainy with a watery body. Easy to drink with a malty body and smooth bitterness in the background. The aftertaste is more bitter than expected, easy to drink with a grainy aftertaste on the tongue.
