2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Country #99 !! Thanks Pascal (jaghana.) Large bottle of Angkor Premium Beer. Golden body with fast receding head. Nose of corn and pilsener similar to Carlsberg. Taste is crisp of hops, with some bitter and citrus notes. Not that bad really. Perhaps a bit bland but altogether okay.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle in Siem Reap (Angor Wat). It poured a pale yellow liquid with a small-medium sized white head. Mild taste of corn and some sweet malts. Sub-par industrial lager, beerlao was allot better.

pale-yellow colour. Grainy malty skunk. Sweet, thin flavour. Perhaps this is refreshing as one treks towards Angkor Wat?

Can. "Angkor Premium Beer" at 5% ABV. Thick white head, anemic piss yellow body. Corn, alcohol, wheat. Light bitterness. Dry finish with some sickly sweetness. Makes a stab at being crisp and refreshing. , but not as good as Beerlao.

This Cambodian lager at least had some decent grass notes along with a very very mild hop presence towards the end before being swept over by water.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of corn, cereal, mash, must, and grain. Poured pale yellow in color with a medium-sized, loose white head that diminished greatly but lasted around the edges. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet. Tastes of corn, grain, straw, and water. Light body. Thin, slick texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, corn, grain, straw finish is lightly dry.

The Cambrew brewery is owned by Carlsberg. Someone in Denmark must have missed out on this one as the Carlsberg beers are usually good. With successful marketing Angkor manages to be the number one in Cambodia. It says as much about Carlsberg as about the regular Cambodian beer drinker, you really canít call this stuff beer.
