Cask (handpump) at the Palace, Leeds. Hmm. Handwritten pump clip. No ABV shown. According to the barman "Yes I am sure that’s what its called" and "No, I don’t know the ABV". I can’t find any reference to this beer anywhere, nor can I identify any other Anglo Dutch beer that fits the bill. And the brewery website is a fat lot of use as the "Latest Brewery News" is from November 2004. So I think I’ll have to take the pump clip at face value. The beer? Oh, its fairly standard autumnal stuff with crystal malt to the fore, providing caramel and toffee notes and a soft underlying bitterness. Mid copper colour. Nothing out of the ordinary.
