Cask, King’s Head, Carlisle. Dry, golden faintly honey tasting brew. Tastes somewhat metallic and unfinished, with a bit of papery leaves/grassiness.

Cask @ Cloisters, Edinburgh.
Pours lightly hazy golden with a thin film head. Aroma is grainy, light grassy. Pretty boring. Light carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly grassy, some soft maltiness andslightly fruity and peppery. Boring.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 20/11/08. Sweetish and golden in colour, with a slight white head and short dry finish. Not very memorable.

Cask, gravity, at Bedford BF ’08. Gold. Faint almondy sweet malt aroma. A little sweetness in the taste, but I thought it was rather nutty. Slight bitter finish. This was pretty ordinary.

Cask conditioned at The Guest House, Southport. Pale gold with white head. Flowery, slightly sweet beer. There is a wheatabix type flavour in the background, quitemalty and yeasty. Floweryhopin the close. It’s ok.

Cask at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, Nottingham. Despite its name, this hazy pale yellow beer isn’t sweet at all. Instead it’s deeply bitter; however, the somewhat earthy flavour lacks complexity and the palate is rather watery. Half a pint was a sufficiency for me.
