Clear golden and strong in alcohol with a fruity aroma. Slightly bitter dry malt finish.
Rune (1807), Tromsø, Norway Sep 2, 2008 With a name like that, I just had to give it a try. Naked, light golden body. The aroma is a kind mix between fruits and tobacco. Some malt and pineapples in the taste giving the beer a touch of marmalade. Moderate bittersweet ending. Hidden alcohol. In spite of the alcohol strength, it feels a bit diluted in the mouth (half pint, shared with Geir at The Great British Beer Festival 08.08.2008). fonefan (4850), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 6, 2007 Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Medium yellow color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate malty, apple, honey, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. kook (2035), Perth, Western Australia, Australia May 19, 2006 Cask @ Ealing BF 06: Golden clear in colour. Short white head. Mild spice in the nose. Quite dry in flavour. A bit estery and peppery but balanced. Interesting english take on a tripel. Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England May 12, 2006 Cask Conditioned at Ealing Beer on Broadway Festival, 2006. Clear pale gold. Floral hop aroma. Sweet malts balanced by some hops a touch of spice and noticeable alcohol. This is quite nice but I don’t think it’s really to style.
