COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I London kallar man öltypen ESB - English Strong Bitter.

50cl bottle from Systembolaget Giraffen, Kalmar. Mahogany color, thick white head. Toffee, cookies, caramel and yeasty aroma. Flavor has caramel, sweetness, nuts and sweet dark fruits. Quite sweet finish with toffee. some minor flaws, a little different, quite enjoyable. Edit: Actually the more I drink of this, the tastier it gets.

På flaska från systemet. Mörk brun färg. Doftar svagt som en engelsk Ale. Torr bitter smak.

Weak, butterscotch, a bit of sweetness, no bitterness whatsoever, only hop presence is some grassiness. Very tasteless and nothing in particular.

Bottle. Quite enjoyable, perhaps a (too much) hint of citrus. Went well with a chicken dish as well as cheese.

@ Röhällavägen. Flaska från Systembolaget (30:-). Fruktig och maltig, rejäl beska, lakrits/salmiak, medelsöt, medelfyllig. Besk avslutning med lakritstoner.

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn. There’s some real hard competition in this category, i found it difficult for this beer to measure up to some of the better ones in the category. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing special.

Trevlig beska i eftersmaken.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2014 50 cl bottle at Systembolaget. Intresting chocolate aroma which come back in the taste. Very nice maltiness with both chocolate and toastiness. Not as hoppy though in the aroma which is a bit of a minus. The finish resembles chewing on pale ale malt. Very nice palate, pretty thick for an ESB but not to much. Although I want my ESBs less carobonated. Conclusion: It could have had more hop aroma and bitterness, but the maltiness is very nice.
