COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Gustav Waesterberg and Jens Skrubbe at Ängö Kvartersbryggeri in Kalmar for the Öland Harvest Festival, initially offered on tap and bottle in an old farm at the village street of Södvik on the northern part of Öland. The beer is dry and fruity at the same time along the lines of the Vallonian farmer’s beer tradition.

Inget fel på den här. Saffran i doften. Nötig. Frisk och ganska lättdrucken. Årgång 2012

Bottle 75 cl @ Kaj. Pours cloudy anber with a small off white head. Aroma is sunky dry hay malty spicy. Flavor is chemical phenolic fruity malty; just stomach revolting.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2012 Bottled:
Pours deep golden with a large, fluffy head. Yeast and dough on the nose with some woody notes. Rather thin mouthfeel. Flavour is more yeast and dough, also some wood, hops and pears. Dry finish with some vague chlorine notes in the background.

.75 bottle. Pours yellow-orange, cloudy. Hay, funk, some wheat hits the nose. A bit of coriander and just a touch of ginger. And yeast. Body is surprisingly full. Refreshing, but not as sour as I would have imagined. Continental hops are clearly present, a bit of citrus also, and wheaty malts. A bit funky, dusty. Ok, but I was expecting something lighter, sourer.

Pours hazy golden with quick disappearing white head. High carbonation. Aroma of yeast, citrus, saison. Taste is fresh, typical saison, metallic. Almost the feeling of drinking champagne when it hits the mouth - very fizzy. Nice bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. Hazy light golden liquid with huuuge white head with big bubbles. Bottle was a total gusher. Aroma of white pepper, wheat, bubblegum, clove, light banana, herbal and floral hops. Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of white and black pepper, grain and light bubblegum. Light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Not a huge fan of the high carb. Nice stuff. Very stylistically correct.
