COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a light copper colored American Pale Ale which is brewed using six different kinds of malt. A crisp hoppy flavor with a floral aroma from dry hopping with Cascade hops.

Pours a lovely hazy amber-orange with white poofy head. Minimal lacing on the inside of the glass. Aroma is a bit muted but shows lots of orange and lemon with some pine and sweet malt. Citrus dominates the flavor as well with noticeable hop bitterness and sugary malt. I often complain of American pales being imbalanced with too much hop bitterness; if anything, this is out of balance with too much citrus. Still, it’s decently hoppy, sugary-sweet and a decent overall beer. Finishes with a thick if slightly flat palate.

Tap at Angry Minnow on Nov. 18, 2011. Light copper pour with a clingy white head. Lemon and citrus on the nose. Medium palate. Taste is citrus hops and slight breadiness. Very good.

clear copper color, small off white head, a touch lacy. airy nose of malt and perhaps a touch of pine. flavor was very mild, perhaps some malt, maybe some hops. i took a couple sips and didn’t see anything here, then i tasted a strange metallic taste that did not fade. perhaps an infected bottle, but this sample was pretty poor. a flossmoor station mugclubber provided the sample at a recent tapping.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear medium amber with a well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma was on the sweet side with caramel and redder fruits accented by floral and citrus character.. maltage became candied as it warmed. The flavor found sweet caramel at the core with fruits in the form of bitterness around.. some spicy pine and a touch of citrus too.. aiight. Light-medium bodied with decent flow across the palate.. a tad grainy.. spicy, refreshing finish.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark hazy gold with a white head. Grassy hop aroma. Slightly off taste, a little sour too, could be infected.

12oz bottle. pours browish copper with thin white head. Aroma is floral hops, caramel and touch of citrus. Flavor hops, pine, lemon and caramel malts. Body is a little thin but makes for a good session beer. A nice surprise for the singles rack.

Sampled on draught: Poured a clear, bright copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral accented, fresh cut lemon and caramel. Taste is of firm hop flavors, grapefruit and grass.

Orangish color. Lots of piney hops in the nose. Great hop flavor and bite that lingers on the tongune. Even with all the hops, there is enough malt there to balance it out. Not quite as good as Muskie Capitals APA, but still very good. Hayward brewpubs know how to make an awesome pale ale!

Tasted 10/10/07. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a ruby amber hue. Clinging off-white head. Wow! Huge hoppy nose! Notes of pepper and citrus. Lemons and cake bread. Wonderful complex nose. Medium bodied and delicious. Sweet crisp malts. So smoothly rounded with the bright fresh hop character. Cola fruitiness and citrus hops. Tasty. Good belnd but hop dominant. Slightly bitter. Touch grapefruit. Mildly syrupy. Slightly dulled malts. But a great hop profile!

Hazy deep copper color with smallish beige colored head. Aroma of pineapple, oranges and caramel malt. Flavor is surprisingly malty for this small of a beer even though the beer has a good amount of hoppy goodness as well. Good brew.
