GNBF. Poured clear, medium golden with a well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange hops and peppery rye over soft pale and bready malts.. loved it! The flavor found juicy orange and pine hops plus peppery rye over sweet caramel and lesser bread.. tasty and well-balanced, but it didnít pop as well as the nose. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. spicy, warm, and engaging.

At the brewhouse. Aroma promises more dryness than citrus. Flavor more dull than bright, with a pleasant drying, no way to tell this is a rye. Mouth stays almost numb throughout, but hey, I like it well enough.

Sampled on draught at the 2010 Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival in Chilton, WI. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with a slow dissolving off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of mostly citrus and grassy hops with a hint of caramel and multi-grain malt. Taste is quite bitter, pushing a double IPA territory with multigrain malt and plenty of citrus. Any rye grain presence is well hidden beneath the hop bitterness. Finish is semi-dry, a sharp bitterness at first and then a dry citrus and autumn leaf aftertaste. Itíll keep the hophead entertained for sure.
