Sampled on draught at the 2010 Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival in Chilton, WI. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with a slow dissolving off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of mostly citrus and grassy hops with a hint of caramel and multi-grain malt. Taste is quite bitter, pushing a double IPA territory with multigrain malt and plenty of citrus. Any rye grain presence is well hidden beneath the hop bitterness. Finish is semi-dry, a sharp bitterness at first and then a dry citrus and autumn leaf aftertaste. It’ll keep the hophead entertained for sure.
