On Tap at Brewpub in Hayward - Poured dark amber color with large off white head. Great lacing on glass and head was retained as I drank!!! Aroma - great floral and citrus hop aroma. Fresh hop scent, smells like bushel of hops...awesome!! Flavor - smooth caramel malt along with crisp citrus and some pine taste. A slight alcohol burn in finish. Palate - medium mouthfeel with above average carbonation. Finish is somewhat dry and has bitter hop aftertaste,...good stuff!! Overall - Awesome DIPA, easy to drink and is not syrupy like many other DIPAs. I would put this one up there with the topnotch DIPAs!! The board at the pub said this beer was 8.5% not 6.9% like the description states.

Growler courtesy of Skyview. Murky copper color with a thin head. Very strong citrus aroma. Massive bitterness. Predominantly grapefruit and orange, but a lot of pine as well. Tasty fine.

Smells dry and floral. Taste is also dry and has a touch of rye in it. Hops are yummy but could be more clean. Overall I love the rye,dry taste to it. Really sticks to my tounge at the end. Biiterness is all that’s left, perfect. Kudos Hayward!

On draught at the brewery/brewpub in Hayward, Wisconsin. Visited during the American Birkebeiner. This IPA pours a hazy caramel amber brew with a thick and creamy beige head that dissipates to a creamy ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of fruity citrus zest, grapefruit, some light caramel malt biscuit and something that reminds me of Vulcanized rubber. Taste is medium to full bodied, light carbonation with a thick flavor of caramel malt, grapefruit juice and zest, with a touch of pine. Finish is mildly bitter, with a lingering sweet grapefruit aftertaste that sticks around. This imperial IPA has to be one of the most dense grapefruit character beers I have tried.

On tap at Chilton Beer Festival. Pours a rich golden color with medium off white head. Aroma is intense citrus aromas with some pine that is slightly subdued. Taste is intense citrus, floral and piney hops. Like a big ol’ smorgasbord of hops. Caramel malt in the finish balances it it out. Well done.

On tap at the pub. The board said this is 8.7%, not the 6.9% listed here, maybe its different batch to batch. Anywho, dark amber color. Hops are there, quite piney and aromatic, with a lot of fruitiness too. Good amount of malt to balance it out. Snagged 5 growlers of this, so good times will ensue.

First noticed the fruitiness, sweet citrus, mostly orange. Kind of creamy, a nice bitterness, refreshing for the alcohol content. Good enough for a growler.
