2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Macro apple, fairly sweet apple juice flavor gives this cider a heaviness that detracts from overall drinkability, and a funny tartness makes you shudder at first before you manage to adapt to it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is sweet apples. Go figure. Pours a clear yellow. The taste is chiefly sweet. This is a nice example of contrasting flavors - sweet up front and a bit of tartness/sourness on the finish. Light body and fizzy carbonation. Overall, every enjoyable, refreshing, and crisp.

The best hard cider I’ve ever had. Green in color. Mild carbonation. Sweet apple flavor but not too sweet . each sip finishes crisp. Can easily drink two or more of these, which I feel is rare for a hard cider.

Caramelized apples on both aroma and taste. Pale yellow golden highlights. Decent acid on palate, lingering apple finish.

On tap at the local watering hole. Poured like any other crappy main stream beer with little to no head or lacing. Nose was sweet apple and wine. Taste was fizzy apple with dry finnish this brew was okay for one or two but becomes way to sweet and carbonated to drink any more than that.

I think this stuff’s pretty good. I found this on tap at Doc’s Pad in Eugene Oregon. It looks pretty dull in the glass. A bright golden yellow color that would be easy to mistake for a pint of piss lager if you’d already had a few. Nothing special. The taste is where this stuff stands out to me. It’s easy to drink and very sweet, which I like a lot. Not the best cider I’ve had but this stuff seems to be kind of trendy in the area right now.

Bottle. Head is initially very small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is notes of apple juice, ammonia, candy sugar, plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately astringent. Man, if there’s one odor I love in cider, it’s ammonia. Crispin’s products are chock full of it. This one can’t quite match those ciders in terms of pure ammonia power, but it’s no slouch either. Seems like there’s sugar added to this too, or at least it smells like it. Pretty much just apple juice and unpleasant phenols otherwise. A total drain pour, but not QUITE as bad as I make it sound. Terrible but not horrific, if you get my drift. Crispin is horrific.
