COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp and refreshing cider mixes the sweetness of the apples with a subtle dryness for a balanced cider taste. The fresh apple aroma and slightly sweet, ripe apple flavor make this cider hard to resist.

2013-12-16. Crisp yellow body, headless. Aroma of sweet fruity apples. Flavour is quite fruity, notes of sweet apples, lightly tart touches linger in the finish. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable but overall impression is a touch artificial seeming. Bottle on board the Norwegian Pearl, somewhere in the Atlantic.

Bottled. Poured clear medium golden with nothing sticking on top. The aroma picked up tangy apple skins with accents of oak and complementary spices. The flavor found crisp, meaty apples at the core, with tangy skins, nutmeg, and light clove around.. sweet finish with more apple and moderate, related acidity. Light-medium bodied and fairly still on the palate.. clean and tasty.

Has a bit of creeping tartness but overall this is pretty crappy hard cider.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange. Immensely sweet, hard apple candies from a tin. Very sweet, not cloying, but definitely at the soda level. Lightly tart acid on the finish, but otherwise just a lot more sugared apples.

On tap at SPSBF. Pours a clear gold with a white head that starts at the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma is full of very sweet sugary apples with only a hint of crispness. Flavor has lots of sweet apple and not much else.

bottle, shared with my wife. 24K gold colour, medium carbo, no head generation at all. Aroma is apple juice with spicy nuances and maybe just a hint of band-aid. Sweet natural apple flavour (not crisp/tart, more like regular eating apples like Cortlands), again with just hints of spice. Finish is just a little dry. Pretty good.

Bottle from bhensonb. Pours light golden with a modest white head and a light apple aroma. There is a pure cider flavor with a dry finish.

If Boston Beer Company is trying to keep a low profile about who makes this, they arenít doing a good job- I saw it at two bars in a row in Cincinnati with the name "Sam Adams Angry Orchard Crisp" on the chalkboard. Anyway, it pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Fresh sweet and tart apples on the nose, pretty crisp. Same for the flavor, which had more tartness than Iíd expected. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, tart, refreshing mouthfeel. Simple, solid cider.

Bottle. Head is initially very small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is notes of apple juice, ammonia, candy sugar, plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately astringent. Man, if thereís one odor I love in cider, itís ammonia. Crispinís products are chock full of it. This one canít quite match those ciders in terms of pure ammonia power, but itís no slouch either. Seems like thereís sugar added to this too, or at least it smells like it. Pretty much just apple juice and unpleasant phenols otherwise. A total drain pour, but not QUITE as bad as I make it sound. Terrible but not horrific, if you get my drift. Crispin is horrific.

12-oz. Pours crystal clear with little nucleation. Huge sugary red apple fruit nose. Watery lightish body. Very much like a martinelliís, just a sugary apple juice concentrate mix. Doesnít show the booze.
